I have been modelling railways in 3mm scale since I was a child, starting with a Triang TT trainset and after over 30 years I am still going. I have dabbled with 7mm scale in the past and also done some 4mm scale modelling mainly during the time that I was active at Pendon Museum. I have had a number of exhibition layouts which have included Wye Knot based on the Wye Valley and Bagborough West which was my first foray into modelling the Great Western Broad Gauge in 3mm scale. My latest creation is Yeoton Wharf, about which is this blog and I am also involved with the construction of a 3mm fine scale layout at my local club, the Launceston and District MRC.
I am now a retired General Practitioner living in Okehampton in glorious Devon having moved from Oxfordshire some 7 years ago. My other interests include walking, photography and attempting to master the art of watercolour painting.
